Juan came to the SPA Fitness Center and joined our Mixed Martial Arts
program...Advantage MMA!
After a long gap between his high school days spent at the SPA's Advantage Wrestling Academy, Juan felt it was imperative to get healthy again, especially after the birth of his son and after gaining close to 100lbs. He weighed in at 271lbs his first day.
His goal from the start was to shed the weight, and fight within a year...well, its been about 11 months! The left photo is Juan about 1 month into his membership weighing around 265lbs and the right photo was taken in April, two weeks before his first fight, weighing very close to fight weight of 170lbs.
With the help of owner/operator Tom Loperfido, and other staff members Juan lost over 100 pounds since he joined the Spa. His journey began at 271lbs and he is now a strong, slim 165lb amateur fighter. He lost all this in just under one year!
Juan has been training with our Mixed Martial Arts Academy and just competed in his second amateur MMA fight and won! Juan is a dedicated, hard-working individual. We look forward to seeing his next fight and working out with him and the rest of the Advantage MMA! Congratulations Juan!

Grand Loser Challenge.
Anita's Testimonial: New Year's resolution was to lose weight. I saw the ad for the
contest and met with Mike at the Spa. When I joined the program I was
245lbs. It has been 60 days and I have lost over 25lbs, 16inches and
decreased my body fat 3%. I'm so glad I joined the weight loss
challenge! I have more energy and feel 65% better than when I
started. By the way, my biggest motivation is using the website to
track my exercise and food intake.
